Because of an unknown work schedule I didn't book a hotel till yesterday for SXSW Interactive. The price was $299/night for the Courtyard Marriott at the convention center.
So, I was wondering, does anyone want to share the room? I will be there March 7-11 and with my Marriott status I occasionally get upgrades (so it may turn into a suite). -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Well the film portion overlaps the interactive portion (which is where I will be) so that would work out well. http://2008.sxsw.com/film/ -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Bands I would see (but it's a moot point because I am in Denmark seeing way better bands):
The Black Keys Black Moth Super Rainbow Blitzen Trapper Bon Iver Devotchka Jens Lekman Man Man My Brightest Diamond My Morning Jacket Times New Viking Vampire Weekend I do recommend seeing some of the films from the festival because they are mostly obscure and really pretty good... I saw a French scary movie called "Them" and it is way better than any other American horror film I've seen in forever... -------------------- ![]() |

how much are the wristbands going for? If it is more than zero dollars it's fucking lame. For this reason alone, SXSW is dead to me. Too fucking commercial now. -------------------- ![]() |
