I come from a long line of divorce that has really hurt the family. I dont want to get married until I know for a fact that my potential husband and I can solve problems effectively and really do love each other. Thats just how I feel. I mean, Im not going to stupidly stay in a marriage that has problems too great that cant be fixed, but I will work to fix problems as much as I can. I also want to get settled in life financially before I ever get married because I think the problems that married couples usually cant deal with are financial problems. Also, when a person is comfortable with who they are as an individual BEFORE they get married, a lot less problems come up after they get married.

If I was with somebody for a while, I could see MAYBE marrying them purely for financial reasons (taxes and insurance etc) but that'd be it.

man id have a wedding but i wouldnt have it traditional unless one of our families or my husband wanted it that way. i could just wear a cool rockabilly dress and my husband would we a smooth suit and we'd have shades and a rocking party.
