Weta Workshop Handling JLA Costumes
By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor
Source: The Dominion Post
Date: Monday, January 7, 2008

And possibly the special effects for the film as well. The confirmation was given by Justice League's producer Barrie Osborne, who also helped produce the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. We still don't have a cast to announce so we don't know who will be wearing those super duds when the time comes. Nor do we have scheduled date of production though previous press releases have said they hoped to get this filmed before any DGA/SAG strike concerns. Still, Osborn dropped this line to the Dominion Post about the costumes and effects..

"They are doing all the costumes and they're doing a brilliant job," he said from Sydney, where filming will start soon. "A lot of people thought it would be too hard, that you can only make those things in Hollywood."

Osborne went on to say that Weta Digital may be handling the special effects, depending on the studio's commitments to other projects. He also complimented director George Miller...

"George Miller has a great take on the material, so it elevates it to something that's not a comic-book movie," he said.

That's DEFINITELY a plus to the JLA movie. Now I just hope they put together a good story with good actors.

For those who may be looking forward to it, "27 Dresses" with Katherine Heigl was quite good! Cute and funny!

Awesome, I thought it looked good from the previews. Of course, the Regina Spektor song in the trailer helped. laugh.gif

Fuckmuffin. That word and muffintop are the two coolest things I've ever seen on this place. What would happen if a fuckmuffin fucked a chick with a muffintop? That's a lot of muffins. A lot of motherfuffin muffuckins.

George A. Romero's "Diary of the Dead" trailer.
Comes out Feb. 15th.

Looks like another fun zombie flick, from the master of the genre no less. I'll definitely see it.

Atonement was good....your lady should like it. My God....the letter he writes (youll find out). Sad ending.

I wanna see The Orphanage, but this weekend will be the weekend I see There Will Be Blood.

Lucky you! What cities is it showing in? I'll be in Dallas this weekend for the game.

Oh shit. I need to check it out in Dallas this weekend. Atonement was okay, I liked Enemy at the Gates better.

Is it really about monsters attacking? That sounds kinda lame.

I can't wait for this sequel.
