Better for it to pop out than for it to stick under hard tension and damage the cable and/or port. Busted up a good pair of headphones and the speakers they were attached to one time because I tripped over the cord... bad mojo. Same deal here.

eh. to each their own. I would rather it stick in and stay in... never had a problem with minor pulling ruining the cable or port
