i didn't dislike TO when he came to Philly, mainly because i didn't really pay attention to him in San Fran. all i heard was he was bitching about Jeff Garcia, i would too if i was a wr. only last summer did i realize what a nutcase fuckbag he was

i wish i could dig up the old threads that have been deleted, cause i know more than one person said they would stop rooting for the cowboys if TO signed. at least Jason is standing up for what he believes in and doesnt flip flop

I'm the opposite, I'd rather have an okay season and gradually improve than sign a shithead. I don't care what any of you say about me being a bandwagon jumper or whatever you're trying to say. I've been a Cowboys fan through plenty of shit, even when everybody in Texas jumped ship to the awesome new expansion Texans. But I refuse to support them if they make such a stupid decision. It's funny to see how many more "fans" come out of the woodwork when the 'boys sign a guy that could possibly make them a contender.

Will might appreciate this, me and my brother were talking about TO last night and I was saying how I can't believe some cowboys fans are excited about getting a cancer on the team and my brother said "I know how they feel, that was me 2 years ago! Fuck TO!" He was stoked when the Eagles got TO but look what that turned in to. I'm gonna resurrect this thread the day that the grumbles in the locker room start, or TO goes to the media about Drew Bledsoe.

ya i don't doubt owens will most likely be a bad decision in the long run, but there are too many good guys still left on the team for me to jump ship. I'm hoping that maybe this time he is going to be different but its doubtful.


and the rumor around valley ranch now is that the Cowboys are talking to Vanderjagt. This would go against Jerry's philosphy that you shouldn't spend money on a kicker. This should be an interesting year.

Good guys? Are we talking talent wise or personality wise? Because I'll give you personality wise, there are some nice guys, until we find out who's been banging hookers and who's been doing coke. Talent wise? Dat's gone, Larry Allen is gone, La'Roi Glover is gone, Key is gone, they still don't have an offensive line or consistent wide receivers, Roy Williams is at the wrong position. I couldn't have said this better myself:

Signing Owens is a desperate move by a desperate team that hasn't won a playoff game in a decade. It's such a travesty that it's comical.

It's the greatest sellout in the history of sports. It's the equivalent of a baseball team signing Rafael Palmeiro this season. This is like finding out your wife is cheating on you and then inviting the guy she's cheating with to come live with you.

If any team had extra motivation to stay away from Owens, it was Dallas because of what Owens did to the star at Texas Stadium. The Cowboys will be the laughingstock of the NFL in three years (or less) for bringing this gas can and book of matches into their locker room.

Having to ever share a table with Drew Rosenhaus should have told Jones everything he needed to know about this transaction.

I hate the cowboys but I can sympathize. There have been a couple guys I hated end up on my teams (Jeff Kent on the 'stros, Charles Barkely on the Rockets, etc).

Jerry Jones is just trying to find the most obnoxious loud mouths in the league and put them on his roster. They will trade up to draft Vince Young just because he brings talking in 3rd person to the table:

in all honesty i think the Cowboys will go something like 10-6 and make the second round of the playoffs this year. TO seems to have a one year shelflife, and it usually takes Vanderjoke's teammates about a year to realize how much of a dickhead he is

but year 2 should be a comedy goldmine, especially since expectations will be riding high and the bandwaggoners will be out in full force
