not when there are 1000 atheletes who are as comparable as you are.

The better you are, the more you're noticed. There aren't 1000 Vince Youngs or Reggie Bush's out there. There also isn't 1000 players in college football who sell tons of jerseys either.
I'm not saying every college football player in existence should recieve a paycheck of some sort. I'm just saying they should be allowed to recieve royalties when other people make tons of money off of them. |

well the topic said college atheletes should be paid, not "certain college atheletes should be paid".

Vince Young never received a single cent for any UT jersey. Not within the bounds of the NCAA anyways. And no not all athletes are Vince Young, but I don't see how that's a problem. They'll make royalty money for how good they are. The better players would earn more. That's how it should be.
Basically I don't care that much that college players aren't raking in millions. I care that because Vince Young goes out and kicks ass, some other jackass makes money selling more of his jerseys and not a single cent of it gets back to Vince. Btw I hate Vince Young I dunno why I keep using him as an example. |
