I also hate those "Support our Troops" ribbon magnets. (as does every vet I know)
People used those as beacons to say "HEY I've got 6 magnets I'm more patriotic than you AMMMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRIIIICAAAAA!"

I would put a support our troops sticker on the back of my truck, not because Im patriotic but because I have friends and family over there. The troops really do need our support. Also, if I were religious, a fish on the back of my truck (while very cliche, yes) wouldnt be like a HEY LOOK AT HOW RELIGIOUS AND GOOD I AM... it would be a "I love God" thing. I dont know. I think it's an unfair generalization.

it really annoys me when you say this. I would like to know where you get this statistic from.... that most Republicans are religious. Many people who vote republican are fiscally conservative and it has nothing to do with a moral stance.

Most politicians believe in god. There are still enough idiots in this country that if someone who didn't believe in god ran for office, they probably wouldn't get elected

the message it portrays to me is to steal them. i once had over 600 of them stuck to my fridge. we ran outta room.

No, its called school pride. It means that I spent a shit ton of money on a degree and Im going to put a $3 sticker on my vehicle because Im proud that I finished and that I made the investment.

According to the American Religious Survey in 01, 81% of the entire country is Christian, 4% are some other religion, and 15% are no religion at all. That alone should be plenty.
