I was wanting to do a little bit more research on the presidential candidates' stances on various issues. Does anyone know of any good comparisons between the candidates?

candidates website should be a good source.

I know ronpaul2008.com lists his stances on varying issues which are clear and concise and doesn't tiptoe around issues (can't say anything about other candidates)...

The above makes a yes/no answer out of very complex issues. I was just looking at Ron Paul's stances (only because I know the most about him), and most aren't exactly clearcut "no's" or "yes's"...

I mean his position on abortion isn't necessarily against it, he just thinks it isn't a federal issue and that state's should decided on abortion (no exactly a definitive "against")

Also, him supporting a border fence is based on his vote on an immigration bill which would not provide amnesty for illegals (the fence was put onto the bill)...He voted for the bill because he strongly doesn't believe in amnesty for illegals, which in turn also looks like he supports a fence, but that isn't true because he has given interviews explaining that he doesn't believe in a fence...

pebkac, as a general rule of thumb you can kinda gauge where a politician stands from these condensed sites, but most issues are rather complex, so it would be best to go to the source (candidates websites) rather than trust the cliff notes version...

Definitely do not go to candidate websites. Those things are so fluffed up. Go the the site that Christine gave you. It's a very good site, no candidate fluff. They all paint themselves out be fabulous and a bunch of garbage.
