if the average person only realized that

i bet you at least 80% of a&m students would not agree with that statement though. part about tech at least.

Even if Tech lost its accreditation, the degree would still be worth plenty. Some employer isn't going to go "Well we'd hire you but Texas Tech apparently sucks so naaah."

Every music ed major out of tech in the past 20 years that has kept teaching, have pretty much paved the way in Texas for everyone....Tech degree in Music = win. On top of that, we have a damn good law and med school....so i don't care about the overall accreditation just the departmental.

Heheh he recruited me from High School and wanted to give me a scholarship... but I'd have to be a music major and I didn't want to.

when lucas was here, we had a very good trombone section in the goin' band. even for the couple years after he left, just because those guys were still there. it got to the point where the student body thought the trombone part in the fight song was the melody laugh.gif ....some still do i'm sure.

the trombone section isn't as strong anymore if you listen nowadays.

Yeah I was part of the fire eater bone line in those days wink.gif Fun times. It's a shame to hear it's died down, although I suspected after Bearden retired it'd might.

Tech programs remain accredited by 25 other such agencies, Whitmore said, and he had no concerns about what news of the probation so close to when college-bound high school seniors will decide which university to attend could do to next year's enrollment.
