i mean stocking up on supplies, guns, ammunition, etc...
i don't really plan on relocating in the apocalypse idealistically. if I prepared my home would be my investment (but of course that assumes i'm at home whenever it happens.) |

Zombies.... the bad guy who can be stopped with a fence. If they're slow it'll end like night of the living dead... people with guns will shoot them with no major crisis (in the south where guns are allowed). If the recent movie development of fast movers happened then you'd have a much bigger problem... based off of increased speed of infection. Oh and securing a sams or walmart almost seems assinine... because the HORDES of people who will be wanting in or out CONSTANTLY until the infection shows up. You'd stand a greater chance of being killed by an uninfected than by a zombie. I think one of the main keys is to secure large, mobile, Rigs and Trucks (varying size and loads of course) that you can move to the country side. and ALSO pick up supplies along the way. Stores box you in too much and are sure to be traffic logged with living showing up and wanting in (thus making quick exit impossible). Long term you need to get the fuck out of dodge and to a places of your choosing based off of infection size, fortfication ability, and supplies. i've thought of this too, but imagine this:: try packing for a 2 week trip spontaniously, when you have to be at the airport in 30 minutes. how much did you forget? in a crisis situation, you can't afford those mistakes. you need to hole up, at least temporarily, gather info, equipment, develop a plan of action, before taking off blindly. sam's club is good because it can be a permanent residence, or just a stop and go. but either way, you are going to need a sanctuary that can provided you the time you need for your next plan of action. -------------------- |

I guess thats true... but the mobility is my biggest concern. Anything major wont be forgotten, and anything worth forgetting can be remade or reacquired else where. Don't get me wrong, i absolutely see the benifit of taking over the sams, its just the logistical nightmare. You want to talk about not being prepared to move, how about being able to secure a large store from both infected and public on a minutes notice. Just stealing a couple uhauls and doing raiding instead of take over at sams was my only suggestion. Maybe figure out where you could put a couple uhauls where they could be loaded safely and also move out of the parking lot without being completely road blocked in. -------------------- |

do you think if you are a vegetarian in life, that you would be a vegetarian zombie? Which begs the bigger question of would we have zombie vegetables? -------------------- |

That way I will be integrated into their society and welcomed as a friend. i doubt that zombies would approve of inter-being relationships. but then again, you could break down those long standing barriers betwixt our societies. like martin luther king -------------------- ![]() |
