its global average temperature not America's

human activity is killing the world we live in - get used to it and do something!

edit: right, and we're the worst polluters who give the least amount of shits, but temperatures are apparently not going up like every hippie, hippie scientist, and ex-vice president thinks.

your info is incorrect

but what do environmental scientists know?! because they are really the only scientists who know what they are talking about concerning this issue

about 10,000 years from now, when the climate actually changes enough to be noticeable, you can go ahead and definitively blame human activity.

meanwhile, continue talking a lot about helping (but actually doing nothing to help) the environment.

It looks to me like 1983 was also pretty high.

can't we just drive more fuel efficient cars and do less shit and not get smuggy or not worry about blaming others!

yes, that graph sure does make 1983 look pretty high. and if i didn't have to go to work, i would go find ten more articles saying that global warming is fake. and then some other queer hippie would post ten more saying it's real. and you're still not going to be able to prove anything is actually happening.

the person who told me to do something to help the environment drives (or used to drive) a gas guzzling mustang. hmm, and al gore uses more electricity every month than the entire european union. i see absolutely no correlation here.

i drive the mustang but as soon as i get money to buy a car im buying a hybrid vehicle. unlike some people i dont have the dough, ability, or permission to purchase a car of my choosing so one was lent to me.
what I can do, since it is a gas guzzler, is limit the amount i drive and keep it properly maintained

this is in response to charlies post because i believe he was referring to me

it is important to conserve even if you are just starting to. theres no smugness about driving a hybrid more like a fear of what will happen if people dont! seriously people were up in arms when scientists realized what we were doing to our atmosphere (ozone) and now 99% of CFC's are cut so why the lag about EVERYTHING else? doesnt make sense to me

global warming is a sham.

It's a fucking communist ploy to use our own media against us to thwart the successful economy we've built.

I seriously wonder whose side the environmentalists are on because were we to spend the trillions they expect us to spend on "saving the environment" China and Russia would simply laugh, and take us over.

I really wonder whose side these people are on ....

No offense Aaron, but your position is the exact 180 of someone that believes global warming will destroy the world in 50 years.
I.E. - you're fanatical on the right for this issue.

Global warming exists and is (or will be) a huge problem in the future.

I have no scientific graphs, pie charts, or essays to support that though. I have common sense. And common sense tells me that we used to get snow in Austin in the mid 80's. We now get sleet. We used to start wearing a jacket in October, now we start wearing em in November. We used to have 105 degree days in August, now we have them in early July.

Maybe it's just a huge coincidence or something though.
