I was wondering why LA Reed didn't play last game against UT. Well, now it comes out that he beat the crap out of Eric Morris and was on suspension.
Now he's been put on defense and will play safety. I don't have an article though. --------------------  |

my dad is best friends with one of the tech players' dads. they're always talking about stuff.
i went to raider power to see if anyone reported it, and apparently it's already out (there are a few threads over there about it). i think it was an exaggeration that morris "got the crap beaten out of him," but there was definitely something physical between them. anyway, i think this is actually good news. we know our defense sucks, and we have plenty of decent receivers. he should make some nice plays and maybe intercept some passes. i think he's on suspension until the bowl game though. -------------------- |

Actually, he did play against UT in the very beginning. There was a play where they were both on the field and I guess someone ran a wrong route or something and someone didn't block for someone drama++ so when they got to the sidelines LA punched EMo in the face.

L.A. Reed apparently asked to be moved to safety, which seems like the right move because Ed Britton has been improving noticeably week after week. Did you see how well he blocked against the Sooners? He's the best downfield blocker in the receiving corps, I think.
You have to wonder, though, if this is the last we'll really see of L.A., because next year is his last year of eligibility and it isn't like we're thin at safety. I'm not really sure what initially caused Shannon Woods to get out of favor with the coaching staff, but it must have happened during or after the Missouri game because Aaron Crawford started next week against Colorado. I do know, however, that the reason you didn't see Woods against Texas or Oklahoma is that he intentionally missed a block for Crawford against the Buffaloes. With the guys we already have on campus (Crawford, Kobey Lewis, Baron Batch, Jared Flannel) and a guy named Harrison Jeffers (4-star recruit) coming in next year, I wouldn't be shocked to never see Woods suit up again. Oh, and it will be a crime against humanity of Crabtree doesn't win the Biletnikoff Award. Seriously, give me some other names of guys who should be seriously considered. I can't think of any, really. Mario Manningham, maybe, but didn't do much of anything against Ohio State. |
