If I went to UT I'd probably hate UT. Then I'd have no favorite football team, and that would suck.

Oh yeah and I'm not commuting because that would involve driving on I35 and it'd waste too much gas and too much time

UT sucks. Everyone there has a snobby attitude, and they dont like undergrads who are older. If you are in freshman classes you better be 18 or 19, etc. All the classes I took had all the notes posted online and there wasn't a single reason to attend class. The worst part was commuting to the school from anywhere except downtown. If you don't live downtown, don't go there, especially if you have classes from 8-10am or 3-5 because you will get assfucked in traffic.
Texas State is ok. I don't dislike the school. Teachers seem to care more here. I think I'm just tired of school. Plus, I don't like it when some grad student who finished his undergrad last semester is grading my papers. That would happen at any school, though. One more semester, and I'm done. Thank God. I think I'll just work for a year or two before I even think about grad school. I'll take the GRE now so that I get that out of the way, but unless I get some great scholarship where my tuition and fees are paid for and they give me a TA position so I can make some cash, I'm taking a break. I'm tired of school.

Fuck you.

That isn't even something to joke about

Seriously, I'd rather be degreeless, jobless, and homeless, than a fucking aggy

Explain correspondence courses. I'm too lazy to research them.

Basically, work at my own pace at night in my free time? If so I'm down for that.

oh and Texas State has a Round Rock campus.... they offer quite a few courses there. Since you live in North Austin, that's not too bad of a commute.

Most are not at your own pace....some are, but they still have to be done by a certain time.

Well hell, I was grading math papers and teaching physics labs when I was 17/18 at TX State. Then again, I've always been a bit of an academic oddball.

Basically, I know more than my Writing for Mass Media TA. He doesn't understand hyphen and comma rules so everytime he grades my papers I have to show him where he screws up.

I forgot about Round Rock. Thanks Jessica!

We do offer a wide array of courses at our RR campus, and correspondence are fairly within the leisure of your own time. You have 9 months to complete them, they're actually less expensive than courses that you have to sit in a class room for, you get all the materials. you just have to show up to campus every so often to take a proctored exam.

Seconded. I've fucked myself because of my majors/activities.

I'll never be happy unless I'm doing one of four things as my "job."

1.) MMA
2.) Upper level political science work
3.) Upper level history work
4.) Something involving the outdoors/nature
So I'll be happy when I'm back in school seeking my PhD.

.....

this sounds like a steven segal movie.....

haha yeah... it's been a long month. sorry. I'm keeping it up. I need to find out if St. Mary's Law School has Spring Applicants, because I really don't want to be out of school for too long.

i'm not 100% sure, but i think they only admit people in the fall.

i might try to do the night program (a couple of years from now) because it will be mostly free... sucks though because they only admit like 70 people into that program

If it's the fall, I'm golden. I was at St. Mary's for a few days last week for the MOAS competition

Last I checked, Law School only starts in the Fall Semesters, so you would have to wait 'til the fall. You better get your LSAT done now, though.
