A lot of people argue illogically and Im sure people see that and can notice when they should discount an argument. that is a good question. All I know is that of the larger storage mp3 players that i have dealt with, i have had only problems with ipods. neither the rio, the creative, or the 2 irivers had any problems. The two ipods i have run across both had software malfunctions of some sort. I have also had several friends complain to me about their ipods. I say "you should have gone with an iriver". next thing I know, they buy an iriver and are completely happy with it. This has happened about 4 or 5 times.

Will, if you would have contacted Apple they probably would have sent you a brand new one...
