QUOTE
NBC Universal chief Jeff Zucker has some sour grapes over Apple's continued success with iTunes and wants to make sure the whole world knows it. According to Zucker, Apple has "destroyed the music business" and must be stopped before it does the same to video. He revealed that the iPod maker rebuffed NBC's proposals to raise prices on some of its content, and downright refused to give the company a cut of Apple's iPod sales.

Wow. NBC really expected Apple to give them a portion of their iPod sales? Are they going to expect royalties from Sony for allowing them to show NBC on their TVs?

tv is a dying industry. of course they should expect royalties from a company that is selling their product and putting them out of business at the same time.

Do you think that Apple is selling the shows for enough money to counter the advertisement money they would have received from that? TV is losing advertisement to the internet. I understand the move they are making, but it depends on how much they are asking for. I see tv as a dying technology, but I dont want to lose it. I used to not care, but recently have developed a strong liking for it. Im thinking that soon, though, computers will take over living room sets and there will be monitors instead of tvs in our living rooms. That way, its interactive and people can chose what to watch when they want to. I see this as NBC just trying to get a little money before the big downfall. It's not like they havent faced problems similar in the past. They just are strategiziing their way out of this dilemma. I could list examples, but im lazy. I just see their side, thats all
