The U.S. launch of the 40-gigabyte model was widely expected, since Sony has already announced it for Japan and Europe. It narrows the price gap with competing game consoles, but the PlayStation is still the most expensive. Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 costs $350 and Nintendo Corp.'s Wii costs $250. The PlayStation 3 has been trailing them both in U.S. sales, and the Wii has been a breakout hit for Nintendo, with more than 9 million units shipped. Sony has sold 5 million PlayStation 3s since they went on sale in November last year. I used to be something of a Sony fangirl... I really do love the PS2 and a lot of the games on it. i want to like sony. there are many games on their systems that i want to play.

Eh, in and of itself, the PS3 isn't really that bad a system. But I do agree. I am beginning to view Sony as the ultimate evil.

I'm not all pissy about sony products because I like their home entertainment products, but I was never a PS fan. I just like XBOX better. The Wii, on the other hand, is god's gift to the game console world. I love the Wii!

I loved my PS2 (when I had one), but the PS3 is just too expensive...
I honestly get bored with games really quickly, and so dropping 400-500 bucks on a system to just have to drop 65-75 bucks on games that I will only play for a few hours is just a waste. |
