I have this experiment programmed in php/java, and it's not working. Do you have to have something special installed for php shit to work right?

well, you didn't mention your specific problem so we'll start with these basics first:
yes you need php http://www.php.net/downloads.php and a webserver like apache http://www.apache.org/ and it wouldn't hurt if you made sure you have java installed http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and the plugin working with your browser |

I do know my computer shit, but well placed insult sir.
I do not feign any knowledge besides a basic understanding of php. Well I installed php, but it's a standalone program that runs off of java and php. It will run, but not show the displays. I could send it maybe it's just a computer issue, because it ran at school. -------------------- *the* aggie bitch

experiment with some simple hello world type programs first, but itd also be wise to take note of all the software pertaining to perl/java code compiling that is used on campus.

When you say it's a standalone app do you mean it is something that runs in Windows? If that's what you mean then you are probably going to need PHP-Gtk installed.

yea it's a stand alone - the java is installed, not sure what the problem is
i think i'm going to get our lovely computer tech for the psyc dept to help me at school (where the damn thing has to run anyways, and it running ok right now) thanks though - i didn't think there was anything wrong with the code just something (else) wacky about my computer -------------------- *the* aggie bitch
