I don't remember the last time I heard of a student killing 30 classmates from knifing them.

On the other hand, I do like the comparison to the war on drugs (where we've made no progess in) if we DID happen to ban guns. It's hard for me to see how we could go from millions of guns to few even if they were banned.

Personally, this is one of those issues that I haven't formed a definite opinon about.

You can arm a billion people with a hang gun, and that will do little to stop an army of jets, tanks, or any well equipped military like that one we currently have. 100 million people would be more effective in protest than they would be with a hang gun.

i'm sure that anyone in the crusades would beg to differ. people are violent natured. doesn't matter the weapon, people are going to die. your justification that i can't kill more than one person with a knife is bullshit. go to a crowded place and start stabbing. all it means is i don't have to reload. it's easier to disarm someone with a gun that a knife. i know that for a fact. a gun doesn't slice your hand open during the grapple. sure you can run away., but what if that fucker is faster than you?
