With the new job I will get 5 paid days this first year, then between years 1-5 it goes up to 10; then an extra 5 for the next 5 years, etc. etc. etc...
Um all big holidays off, I will have to look at exactly which ones they are outside of New Years, Memorial/Labor Days, 4th, Christmas and Thanksgiving... With the old one, I had to work an entire year to begin accruing it and apparently it wouldn't have been that much (apparently Japanese don't take a lot of time off and since they owned us, we didn't get much either...) -------------------- Wendi Peffercorn Professional People Pleaser |

I hate my company's vacation policy.
12 days all year plus a few holidays. No sick days or anything like that. Quite astonishing really, since most of us are in the air a lot and in foreign countries, we get ill pretty easily. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Jonathan, this is my full time job after graduation. No look on getting a pay increase or time off :-( I only get days off when I have class all day long, like Mondays and Wednesdays.

who do you work for and what do you do exactly? I work for Meridium, Inc. I am a Technical Consultant. We travel to different clients (mostly oil & gas and utilities) and help them implement our software and understand how it works and applies to their business. We analyze their needs and prevent future BP incidents. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
