All in all, it doesn't sound like Apple is changing its stance, but it seems safe to say that Cupertino won't be listening to any crying should subsequent updates render your hacked iPhone useless. |

just set your iphone to default before installing any updates. just in case. i wouldn't worry about the install program. i'd only worry if you hacked it to work with another carrier.

Firmware 1.1.1 released today.
Updates: - iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store - Louder speakerphone and receiver volume - Home Button double-click shortcut to phone favorites of music controls - Space bar double-tap shortcut to intelligently insert period and space - Mail attachments are viewable in portrait and landscape - Stocks and cities in Stocks and Weather can be re-ordered - Apple Bluetooth Headset battery status in the Status Bar - Support for TV Out - Preference to turn off EDGE/GPRS when roaming internationally - New Passcode lock time intervals - Adjustable alert volume Looks as if updating with just the Installer.app hack installed is going well. It's just wiping out all third party apps and still working fine. Not going well if a different carrier SIMM is being used. I'll try it when i get home this afternoon. i'm thinking about getting an iphone now, the only thing that's holding me back is it doesn't interoperate with corporate email... but i can still browse to our web-based outlook
