yeah, and to go with that, some classes might require just a basic knowledge of a totally complex subject. the class i'm in should be spread out over at least 2 semesters, probably 3, but there aren't enough resources to do so.
a lot of graduates of my program say what they were exposed to was very helpful (though i'm very doubtful at the moment). the CFP exam is comprised of a buttload of tax and estate material, so i guess a general understanding is better than nothing. edit: the guy who teaches my class is a tub of shit. he gets off on failing us; he lets us know that we WILL miss certain questions, but he doesn't do anything to help. someone more sympathetic could be teaching the material, but this guy has been doing it for like 20 years. after (see: if) i pass this class, i'll feel better knowing that the people who get my degree after me will have to go through the same things i did. |
