as long as they are govt sized.
in fact, the govt 1911 mag will "work" in a compact frame, meaning it will feed, but the ass end will be sticking out. compacts, however, will not work in a govt. which is kinda evident. mags are the single-most cause for malfunction in the semi auto. there are some total shit mags out there that will make you think your gun is a lemon when it's just the mag spring or follower. |

I got a bonus and promotion today and there's a gun show in dallas this weekend. I had my sights set on a decent ~$500 gun to satiate my appetite...then I learned of colt making a new carry gun...the colt new agent. it's basically the defender, but made specifically for concealment. trench sites, full melt/snag-free job, lightweight carbon slide and aluminum frame...goddamnit it's gonna take every ounce of self control to not buy one of these on saturday...   god damn you colt... god damn you to hell... |

I just wasn't planning on dropping $900 for a frickin pocket pistol this weekend.
granted, since it's a colt, it would likely be the last carry gun I ever bought. then all I could put all my efforts into full sized fun. |
