How did he not resist? After the dude had to practically pick him up and carry him to the back of the auditorium he gets lose and tries to run back towards back past them at which point they take him to the ground.

yea. i bonded out a guy yesterday for "assault on a public servant"

the fact is...that I think some are overlooking...not whether the kid had the RIGHT to speak, whether or not Kerry was going to answer his question, whether or not the cops were overstepping their bounds, whether or not condoleeza is a dyke...none of that matters.
all that matters is, the cops were trying to subdue/escort the kid and he put up a fight. that is an automatic beatdown in cop terms. period. |

Oh, and to answer a question posed previously, I'm not going anywhere if a cop doesn't tell me why I'm being arrested, what the charge is, etc.
Years back my friend got pulled over. Cop refused to tell him why he was being pulled over, even though he wasn't speeding nor breaking any traffic laws. My friend, in a mature manner, stated he was not showing the cop any insurance or form of identification until he was told what the charge was. Cop pulled his gun on him, arrested him, and searched his car without a warrant. After my friend hired a lawyer and he actually fought it, all charges were dropped and the cop was suspended for two weeks with pay. --------------------   |
