So I'm getting a raw deal because I'm using something that I think is easier and nicer than the other phones I've used, I can't have an opinion about a device because I don't have a CS degree?

its a gadget. most gadgets are for people that like gadgets and need the most seemingly hi tech and up to date device.
in its essence its materialistic and unimportant. but for someone that likes that crap, its enough to spend a lot of money on and a justifiable expense

if toothbrushes came intact off the store shelves with preapplied toothpaste and no water needed itd sell like crazy because its "easier".

I am trying to justify buying one but I probably won't be able to 'cause I'm cheap.

I like certain gadgets, things that help me get more accomplished. I've failed at this before though and bought gadgets that turned out to require more of my time than they helped save.

I like to be a little different. Im sorry, but those kids that walk around campus with their iPhone and iPods look like tools. They sit on the bus playing with it the whole time. I use my phone (LG Chocolate) as an mp3 player. when I walk around, the phone is in my bag and i walk, or I sit on the bus and just listen. Everybody that has an ipod stares at the thing. Its like they are showing off. "hey, look at me... i have the NEWEST ipod. yours is like so last year." Do they not know how to set up a playlist? Same with iphones. People that own them, always have them out, showing them off. I dont have an obsession with being different, but I do hate to be the same as everybody else. I cant wait until a valid competitor enters the mp3 market....a competitor that takes apple's mass advertising and shoves it down their damn throats. Thats all Apple has going for them.... an awesome marketing team.

Not everyone. My boyfriend has an ipod nano, but he rarely uses it. He uses Pandora at work and mp3 CDs in his car. Then again, he didn't buy the nano, he got it at his company's Christmas party last year, so maybe that's why. laugh.gif

Is this thread still seriously going on? Now I'm not an apple fan or anything but impala do you really have to keep this thread going with a challenge to everything anyone says? Come on, you either like it or you don't, get the fuck over it. I know you're sad because there are some people that enjoy aesthetically pleasing things and not everyone thinks having a recliner at your desk is cool; but seriously, find a new topic than the constant mac bashing.
