i'm also fearing missouri. we've always lost to them in missouri, and chase daniels is good. i'm more worried about a&m (just nerves bc its intense) but colorado?? no way. it's a home game and it'll be easy.
of course, we always lose some STUPID away game...it better not be OK State. OU will beat us at home, and UT is away...they'll also probably win. they're not great this year, but still, not sure if we can handle with them. we've struggled against or non-conference games a bit and made stupid mistakes. we can't continue this. and what's the deal with all our freakin penalties!!?! every year!! --------------------  |

yeah it was just insanely hot. it was funny to see all the tech fans migrate over to the empty ass home side upper deck at halftime because it was shaded from the sun. even then it was still crazy hot.
and the mob making fun of us for the tortillas thing... omg that was terrible. i'm sittin here thinkin... wow is this the best they could come up with? |

yeah that was probably the worst thing i've ever seen, and it looks like they put a lot of time and effort into it, which is why it was so sad.
the sun was a bitch, but the wind was pretty nice. we migrated to that side after the 3rd quarter, but we probably should have gone before halftime. |

well the rice band "the mob" is known for doing stupid sarcastic stunts and stuff during their halftime show. basically they have a tiny band and realized they're better off doing this kinda stuff as opposed to a regular band type of show.
at the rice game they made fun of the tortilla tradition at tech. they had dudes dress up like corn, cheese, tortillas, etc running around the field. had a "reporter" reporting about "tortillas of mass destruction" and "cheezhad" or something like that. then at the end they had a 6' across cardboard tortilla with eyes on it fly down as the "flying tortilla monster" to save the day or some shit. it was funny in a Airplane! kinda way. |

yeah rice has been doing that for awhile, and i think they copied it from Stanford or something.
anyway, what's the deal with OU dropping down from #3 to #4, and even though UCLA lost big, going from #11 to completely UNRANKED? same goes for #15 and 16 GT and Arkansas. i thought one loss usually = 6-8 spots down or so. but wow, that's just insane. -------------------- |

UCLA didn't just lose big. they lost big to an 0-2 utah. they were pretty over-rated imho. at week 3 there's still going to be plenty of undefeated teams so they'll take precedence most of the time. there's only 4 1 loss teams in either poll and two of those shouldn't be ranked either. but, nebraska's 1 loss is to #1 USC and VT's 1 loss is to #2 LSU. I can excuse those
