i think that, unless this person has looked around and knows for a fact that ipods are pieces of crap and would never themselves buy one, they are going to be horribly disappointed when they see that it's not an ipod, even if you get them a much better mp3 player (like a new 16gb creative zen when they were expecting a shuffle/nano)

I got an ipod in December (it was free, I probably would've bought something else) and haven't used it at all except for loading a bit of music.
Maybe with el tax refund I can finally get an ipod-compatible radio in my car (what I have now is just the stock radio) and use it with that. Beats burning CDs. -------------------- |
