so a few co-workers and i are standing around talking to one of our business managers (also the wife of the owner of the company). somehow the subject of CHLs/guns comes up. she asks us what all we have etc etc and we tell her. she then proceeds to pull a f'n colt commander out of her f'n purse! turns out her and her hubby (again, owner of the company) have been competition shooters in the IDPA for a long time.

anyhow, kinda crazy who turns out to be packin'. she's just your average nice lady, late 40s or so who helps run the company.

looks similiar to an area around san antonio some old buds of mine used to hunt hogs on. i use the term 'hunt' loosely, as i'm not sure how close "driving up on a hog in the jeep pickup and blastin him w/a .45" comes to hunting laugh.gif

yep...that's my shit. thumb over thumb (left thumb used to release slide catch), left finger on trigger guard. the left index finger even so slightly forward provides a noticeably more stable platform. some guys place the finger under the trigger guard.

it's fairly common, which is why many custom 1911 makers checker the front strap of the trigger guard.

I'll find an example.
