ONLY use your bed to sleep in ... kitchen counter, couch and roomy's bed are options to do other "things" that you normally do in bed
dont eat after 6pm, drink sugar/caffeine after 6pm [edit] scroll down to "Alleviating insomnia" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomnia#Treatment_for_insomnia |

if those options dont work, go to a doctor and have them perform a mono test. unlikely, but you are in a college town.
other symptoms of mono are: Early on, vague complaints of "not feeling well," headache, tiredness, chilliness, puffy eyelids, and decreased appetite are common. Later, fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands at the side and back of the neck, and also under the arm and in the groin may appear. The firm, tender glands vary from bean to egg size for several days to a few weeks. A fever for about five days is usual, and may continue intermittently for one to three weeks. Tonsillitis, trouble swallowing and bleeding gums may be present. Some people may develop a rash. http://www.indiana.edu/~health/mono.html |

QUOTE (basschick @ Mar 21 2006, 07:20 PM) you are supposed to get about 8 hours a night i thought? get a very regular sleep schedule (says the grad student who knows this is fucking impossible) Eight hours a night is just a generalization. From what doctors on tv have taught me, some people do require a bit less, some more. My dad sleeps maybe three hours a night, every night, since Vietnam. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

I was told that you need at least 3 hours of REM sleep each night, and it takes about 3 hours to reach the REM cycle after you fall asleep, so 6ish is a magic number for me.
Like other people have said, eating well really helps also. I know you're up at the studio a lot, but maybe you can bring snacks/small meals to eat throughout the day. Food is fuel as long as it's fresh, unprocessed good stuff! |
