What i am confused about is what the crime was. 18-2001. DEFINITION OF SOLICITATION. A person is guilty of criminal solicitation to commit a crime if with the purpose of promoting or facilitating its commission he solicits, importunes, commands, encourages or requests another person to engage in specific conduct which would constitute such crime or an attempt to commit such crime or which would establish complicity in its commission or attempted commission. Do they have sex IN the airport restroom? If not, it seems like anyone going to a bar and picking someone up for sex. I believe he plead guilty to disorderly conduct or some other misdemeanor (not solicitation). -------------------- ![]() |

Yes, the actual sex normally goes down IN the bathroom....often they will just stick their dicks under the stall divider. Some bathrooms have devised glory holes in place of that. Sometimes I guess one may go into the other's stall,,, but the officer apparently said that Craig placed his suitcase in front of the stall door in a strategic way that is used to block the view from the outside. |

If the republicans wanted him gone for being gay they could have done it sometime in the past 25 years. He's been accused by the media of homosexual activity since 1982. So if it's because he's gay, why haven't they pushed him out the door already? That's also the reason he's denying being gay in press conferences, because he's been accused of it several times over there years. Wikipedia is your friend. I won't deny that there are probably a lot of Republicans that don't like him being gay, but I think the universal reason they're pushing him out is because it's embarrassing when a prominent member of your party is caught soliciting sex in a public restroom, whether it's gay or straight sex. That's the thing...for years it was all SUSPECT....it was only rumors....now the Republicans finally had something SOLID regarding his sexuality. |

Really I don't see what the big deal is even if it is illegal. Congressmen have been convicted of worse things and not resigned. Embarrassing? Maybe. Does it affect his job? No.
