Honestly, I don't care if I'm a troll.
Also, if there is now actual legal contract or paperwork showing that you were removed from the lease, then well, you weren't removed from the lease. -------------------- ![]() |

Corona vs. Rosa's tacos. And people wonder why me and Gert never actually ate at Taco Tuesday the beer thing was just reminiscing about the first time i met will, he was just that guy. but let's face it, will has pretty much always been an asshole and has admitted to it on more than one occasion, because he's just that guy, nothing really wrong with it, never had any beef with him over the years. |

Don't know if there is or isn't. All I know is what I was told by Luman.... ...and well, what I was told by Cathryn 2 years later on an internet message forum. Don't really care either way. I'm not paying her money I don't owe. She knows this, even though she continues to bring it up for kicks. Jim, should you really be trolling me on this subject? -------------------- |

Maybe I'm trying to understand the basic point of what is going on. You said you're off the lease. Cathryn says you're not off the lease. Who am I to believe when everything said is perspective of a given situation. The facts, though is what will tell me. -------------------- ![]() |

well i have a copy of the original lease and bank account records showing all the money i paid in rent for that year. i was never told of this little side agreement with luman
so i have proof i posted about it originally a long time ago not expecting zach to get so huffy about admitting it. then of course i was ganged up upon by other losers who have no credibility themselves turning it into this little mess. did i expect he'd pay me? no but i expected something like "heh yeah sorry about that" brandon brought it up this time for whatever reason i dont know -------------------- Little monkeys making money

If you are required to give a 30 days notice before leaving and you up and leave, paying the next 30 days of rent to cover your notice, you are also responsible for utilities, even if you weren't there to use them. You can't just leave and continue to pay rent (fulfilling that obligation) and say you don't owe utilities because you weren't there to use them. If you are part of that lease, you share all financial responsibilities. I don't know what the situation was, just throwing that out there if that is the case. I've been burned at least twice by roommates that move out of the house I own and don't pay me the last month's rent and bills, so I have sympathy for Cathryn (if what she's saying is true?). One paid me back 2 years later, which was shocking, and the other still owes me a few hundred bucks from 5 years ago that I wrote off a long time ago.

How would I owe a portion of utilities if I didn't use them (therefore, did not increase the cost beyond what was used by Cathryn)? Utilities were paid separate from rent and were not of Luman's domain. And she's also saying I owe utilities for many, many months beyond that 30-day period, JRock. Either way, I paid what I paid and won't pays no more ~!

Yeah, I don't know where she gets her figures and all of that, but even if you don't use the utilities because you're not there, if it's for a month that you were supposed to be there, you owe on the utilities. That's like those douchebag roommates who spend all their time at their significant others' house and then complain that they have to pay on utilities when they're never there.

This is why I kept my Techsans life and my real life separate.
I did hang out with everyone a few times and vividly remember Blue's birthday party in which three people got naked and ran out the front door. That was interesting. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

I think it's between the roomates. When my step-bro was on the lease in Lubbock, but living in Austin for a few months, he paid half of the rent and half of the cable/internet costs since those were set, monthly costs. I, however, paid for the full electricity and water usage. He may have paid for half of utilities for like the first month after he moved out, but that's because there's a delay between usage and when you pay. *shrugs* -------------------- |

well imho people need to grow up and realize you pay for utilities whether you're there or not. people like that need to understand that the master breaker for the house doesn't get shut off every time you walk out the door. thankfully all the roommates I've had were responsible and paid their share properly, whether they were in town or not.

There's a difference between paying for utilities when you're on vacation and paying for them when you've moved out for an extended period of time or permanently. No, the master breaker doesn't get shut off, but electricity and water usage significantly goes down.
