don't think crooksandliars.com is biased?
a couple things... 1. how does the lack of showing the person's party mean the network is biased? if CNN does show it, does that mean they're biased? that's f'n stupid. 2. QUOTE As Media Matters points out, on August 27th, between 5:00pm and 11:00pm, FOXNews devoted just 3:47 seconds to the Larry Craig scandal as opposed to 8:26 from MSNBC and 20:38 from CNN so how is this instantly "FOXNews is biased" and not "CNN is biased for spending so much time on it"?? |

Not naming what party someone is from is "bias"... i guess if you think weak, and easily overlooked mis-types or non-types are bias... I've seen worse "bias" towards leaning left on other networks... but you don't see me bitching about how they pitch thier news. -------------------- |

Convenient that they don't link the article. These all explicitly state that Craig is a Republican:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,295005,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Aug29/0,4...eyCraig,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294998,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294939,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294852,00.html And these give enough information to infer that he's Republican: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294978,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294953,00.html -------------------- |

Both of you totally overlooked the part where Fox News switches the "R" symbol to a "D" when the Republicans get in trouble.
Fox news was blasted for that, so instead of switching the party they just plain don't report it. Also, if you don't think that Craig article was written to influence you to think a certain way then you probably think that the following is a good unbiased polling question: QUOTE The City Council will vote today to eliminate the corrupting influence of Big Money political contributions; do you support or oppose the proposal? Sometimes I think Techsans has the largest concentration of uneducated idiots on the Internet. |

I've heard Fox news pay reporters to report certain news, or something similar...

I was totally gonna post pretty much exactly what lance just said:
They will actually change party affiliations when one of their own gets in trouble. And seriously? You guys seriously don't think fox is biased? I mean, come the fuck on. I'm not saying CnL isn't biased as well (they're quite liberal) but shit, Fox is outright right. edit: And impala, you're selectively dissecting posts again, just like fox news. I love how you skip the parts that lance points out because they don't support your argument. Color me not surprised. I don't watch/read Fox News enough to know for sure that it's biased, but I suspect that it is. But I'm wary of trusting obviously biased sources (in this case, crooksandliars.com) in their criticism of other entities. *shrugs* And, as I pointed out, there were plenty of articles on Fox News that clearly identified Craig as a Republican.

Yeah, you really do have to take CnL with a (big) grain of salt, but every now and then they point out something that's pretty hard to refute. It's the same way with Fox News though.

wow we're down to comparing fox news to fucking crooks and liars.com.
i didnt "ignore" the R&D switch crap, that's old ass news that they're reposting. the "new" news is that they simply didn't include his party. despite the fact that christine shows you seven different links where they DO include his party, you guys still come up with these completely dumb ass conspiracy theories. wtf do you think is going on? some GOP pres candidate is paying off fox news to subtley change a D to an R every now and then, so they'll win the f'n presidency? my God and you dipshits have the gall to call everyone else 'uneducated' |

When I looked yesterday they had a giant picture of him next to the story on Foxnews' homepage and had the police report posted also. I don't remember if it specifically said he was a Republican, but it was the first article I read about the incident and I knew he was a Rep. after that, so I assume it did.
They have the pretty pictures on that CnL link that shows that those two guys are Dems, but I don't know if the corresponding audio mentions them being Dems or Reps. Could just be a graphic mistake by some moron PA, we all know that happens in TV. Christine posted enough links to show that Foxnews isn't trying to hide the fact that he's a Republican. And Foxnews is "biased" because they spent 4 and a half minutes less time on the story than MSNBC in a 6 hour block?! Wouldn't it be just as easy to claim that CNN is biased against Republicans because they spent over twice as much time on it as MSNBC? -------------------- LANCE IS PRO-CENSORSHIP! Who the #$(% cares if they're biased or not. You don't have to watch them, you can watch your own biased CNN or MSNBC. Just because it's your personal preference does not make it any less biased (no matter what Crooks and Liars says)
