I hope it is hiccup free. many 1911s are picky lil bitches until you get them tuned in.
my only "break in" advise is to run it wet wet and only feed it hardball for the first 500rds. and field strip/clean it after every range session. |

yeah everything i've read so far says people have a few feed problems during the break in, but that it's pretty much smooth sailin after 500 or so.

plus many feed problems are mag related. people forget to clean them...plus some manufacturers ship theirs with weak springs.
wolff springs are like 5 bucks. I'm stoked for you. 1911s are the shit. |

have you taken to shooting .38spc out of your 686 yet?
I rarely shoot that expensive ass .357 anymore. just keep it for "reals". |

went to the show today and snagged this puppy up for $550. springfield mil spec .45. they had the GI model (which is a step down from the mil spec) for $75 less, but w/the crappy sights and the stainless wasnt quite as polished as the mil spec. kinda cool, didnt realize it came w/a belt holster and belt clip holder. also came w/an extra set of black grips, what do yall think, stock or black? i like em both but i think i'll leave the stock ones for now. also picked up 500 rnds of winchester .45 ACP for $145.
stock grips ![]() or black grips ![]() so here's my humble collection (can you tell i like stainless? ![]() you guys that like the RIA 45, saw tons of em today. lowest price i saw was about $319. i thought about it, i'm just a big sucker for the stainless look |
