yeah... I like the guy ok, but he's totally alienated both of his biggest fan bases. he pissed off the new yorkers once by 'retiring', then coming to houston. he then pissed off the houston crowd by going back to new york. and he has now pissed off the new york crowd with his sub-roger clemens peformances. he's supposedly opening some steakhouse down here, we'll see how much business it gets.

Apparently one of the Lubbock Little League teams made it to the Little League World Series by completely dismantling the southwest conference.

And that's why public proposals are dumb, unless you are 200% positive that she's going to say yes. And even then, they're still pretty stupid.

i have been to a ton of astros games this year, and seen at least 5 proposals, most women look PISSED at first, but my guess is more because he asked her at an astros game and not at a $150/person restaurant at a private table with candles and rose petals scattered and violins and blah blah etc etc

Well those women are just greedy ho's. tongue.gif

I just think public proposals are dumb because there's such a potential for embarassment. Even if she plans to say yes, it's really weird being put on the spot in front of thousands of people like that. If her answer is no or "yes, but..." then it makes it that much more awkward for both of them. If you KNOW she's gonna say yes and she loves the game and gushes about how romantic those at-game proposals are, that's one thing, but most women aren't like that. *shrugs*
