I'm sure it's from student fees.

The statue is outside of Gordon (the Honors) dorm.
Ten dollars says that at least a dozen people have complained from its "risque" nature...

wow that makes it even dumber. how many statues do you see out there with a f'n 500 word description of the artists "vision". i thought people were supposed to just look at it and come up with their own ideas.

i think every fucking sculpture they have at tech is a steaming pile of shit, especially the "tornado of ideas" sculpture that looks like a hunk of scrap metal someone forgot to haul away after the completion of the student union extension

and bookman = ghey

soapsuds is cool, and the masked rider by the alumni pavilion is pretty cool, everything else is too abstract for my tastes

i think they should replace the art buyer with a committee of students, hell in least it save us on some salary cost.

.5% of every new construction project budget has to go toward art. state law for college campuses. that's why. not student fees.

bookman is retarded, so is the sphere, so are all these statues that are "superartiste". Soapsuds is fine, masked rider is fine, will rogers is fine. Why can't we just have more normal statues instead of trying to make some lame ass faux abstract piece of shit. I'm no art major, i'll be the first to admit, but I can still tell when something is a waste of time money and space.
