Its that time of the year again where I need to renew my policy. Currently, Im with Progressive, but I just did a quote with Geico and they are over $100 cheaper. I know its a matter of shopping around, but I wanted to know what insurance company ya'll use so that I could do a quote with them too. I just did esruance and AllState. Both were more expensive than Progressive. Anyways, any information you can give me would certainly help. Thanks.

I use USAA, but you have to have military ties to use them. My dad, who was in the Coast Guard, was a member, so I'm eligible as a legacy member. Previously I was with Geico and I was perfectly happy with their customer service, but they were gouging me on my comprehensive and collision premiums. USAA was a third the price ($300 vs. geico's $850 for 6 months).

I use Allstate and pay $900/yr for full coverage on my '06 truck. I've used them for about 4 years now. I also have homeowners through them so there's some kinda discount applied. Their commercials don't lie about the safe driver discount thing.

I use Progressive at ~$330 every 6 months with whatever teh minimum coverages are for those under auto loans. It's like 25/50 or some such.

I guess my premiums are still sucky because im only 22. I have never had a ticket go on file, and have never been involved in an accident. Blah. Plus, I have to have really good insurance because Im leasing the Titan. There is minimums I have to meet under the lease contract. So yeah, Im getting super low deductibles on everything and Im getting high payouts for personal injury and property damage. Pretty much getting the best on everything. Suckage.

Currently, Im getting a rate of $538 from Geico. Dont think Ill be able to beat that. I dont qualify for USAA because my dad only works civil service for the military.

I say you get a new loan. Not all require you to take the lowest deductible.

I don't know a lot about how lease insurance works, but $538 is not that bad on a new vehicle with full coverage.

yeah, its not bad. I was just kinda hoping to get in the $480 range. But I got even better coverage than what the lease calls for so yeah. I can expect the high rates

uninsured motorist damage- $250 deductible
collision- $999 deductible
comprehensive- $99 deductible.

I think that is pretty low deductibles. The collision could be lower but that gets really pricey. Everything else I think I have the lowest on.

Ok.

I was gonna say. If you're paying low deductibles and getting those rates I must be doing something wrong. Most of my deductibles are 500 or less so I pay more for the premium.
