it's both the man and the woman's fault that the woman gets pregnant.
it's both the man and the woman's kid.
both the man and the woman have responsibilities in regards to the kid.
therefore it doesn't make any sense to me that the unborn kid's life could be ended with no say from the man whatsoever. the women can cry all they want about the 9 months, but it's miniscule compared to the impact of the entire life of the potential kid.

besides, the man has plenty of problems during the 9 months as well. the woman typically has to quit her job, making it harder to make ends meet. the man has to put up with the woman's shit. the women gets waited on by the man. basically the man becomes the woman's bitch, if he isn't already. the woman's job is to sit around, eat a shitload, watch movies, and be a cranky bitch with no recourse.

collecting child support is no excuse for a woman to not be working and able to support herself and a kid.

it's a tax (punishment) to the non-custodial parent, not a gift to the other. it's to cover the inconvenience of having extra expenses like daycare because only one parent is around, not to let some ghetto princess sit on her ass all day.

i guess since many single mothers had probably been leeching on the government before the baby was conceived, getting court-mandated child support probably isn't a priority (the ones who are lucky enough to be receiving support from baby daddy gladly take a couple of nontaxable, non traceable benjamins every once in a while).

impala my statement about dead beat fathers had nothing to do with men who dont want their partners to get abortions. you made some statement that seemed like you expect every man upholds their side of child support. im saying, most dont.

id say most single parent mothers work at least 1 job. child support payments are income based, if its a guy with a shitty job he isnt going to be forking over 10k a month. where i used to work some child support payments were under 500bucks. they pay for direct child care, doesnt realistically take into account trying to not be homeless. welfare in this country is for the most part a sham and a way to suck generations into poverty. you cant survive on welfare and little child support payments - which again most men dont pay ESPECIALLY in the lower income bracket which i think would be hit the hardest with this. thats why i first said it smelled a little racist
