Well, I'm now 0-1 as in I lost.

I weighed in at 170lbs, 5'11". My opponent was probably 6'1" or 6' and weighed in at 185lbs.
It was one hell of a fight though...fight of the night by far. We went the full 3 rounds at 3 minutes each and it was a draw, so they gave us a 2 minute OT round which we also fought through to the end. Funny thing, the fight only went to the ground once (I reversed a hip toss into the mount...or no, he through a high kick and fell, that's what it was...but the ref stood us up after like 10 seconds, even though I was landing some punches). The rest of the time it was a non-stop kickboxing match =P .

My opponent won round 1, I won round 2, round 3 was...I guess the draw round although even strangers in the crowd thought I won it. All and all my opponent grabbed the W with a flurry in the 10 sec of OT that probably swayed the judges in his favor.

So a loss by a very very split decision.

Heh, I even landed a couple of hard headkick roundhouses.

Gotta work on my straight punches. I threw too many looping bombs...got overexcited I guess, this being my first fight.
I should have the video posted by next week.

My face looks like hamburger, nose is broken (again), and I'm sore as hell. My opponent won't walk straight for a while, I left a nice black welt on his left leg from all the leg kicks, and his face had some contusions.

Again, one hell of a fight that got a standing ovation.

yeah, 'twas a fun night, minus the face rape.

Glad we didn't go to the post-fight after party at the "Post-Party Saloon" (I think that's what it is called). It's run by the Bandidos, and always has trouble. Last night we drove by it after the fights...police tape, many cop cars and ambulances. Fun

Thanks. Yeah, his leg was nice and black after the fight.

I honestly don't know. He told me after the fight that that was his second fight (2-0 record).

He was telling people before the fight that that was his 6th fight.

Yay for the little uncertainties of the amateurs.

If I'm looking at this video right, you're gonna either jam or break your toes sooner or later with some of those kicks. It looks like you're not getting your foot completely straight on the rounds.

That was a nice head shot in round 3 though.

Meh on some of the kicks in the later rounds I was tired. But in general I'm targeting them with the area of my shin just above my foot.

And the guy told me after the fight that that head kick had him seeing double and almost out. I'm so f'n pissed I didn't follow through.

your kicks to his left thigh were a bit wide in coverage. yes it was a good bit of damage spread about.

but i mean tighten the spread, focus on getting the kicks in a tighter placement to focus the pain. make that leg more useless.

Think he means you're extending way too soon. If you wait to extend until last instant, you'll go faster.
