well, as you age your physical and mental stats change. as a little baby his charisma will start out at a superhuman high, then as they age generally it drops, just as their intelligence, wisdom, strength, dexterity and constitution all increase as well. at a certain point the physical stats all begin to drop (people become old and infirm) and the intelligence and wisdom both increase as the physical stats languish.
