he's smart. he's leaving on a high note rather than waiting around to slowly suck ass or nurse some injury until he's a worthless baseball player who's only there because there's fans that still like him.

hes already started sucking ass, he was only here this season because the astros couldn't cut a fan favorite his stats are .249 avg, 6 hr, and 35rbi 35 RBIs and 6 HRs is bad!? There's only 9 2nd basemen in the national league with more RBIs and 8 with more HRs... For the club, Biggio is 3rd in runs scored, 4th in hits, and 5th in RBIs. He's on pace to get as many runs, hits, and RBIs as he has in the past 10 years he's played the game. Sure his average is a little under his career average, but show me a veteran astro who's average isn't. he's also a core of the team. he's a leader in the clubhouse and for all intents and purposes, the 'captain' of the team. his retirement is for sure one of the more graceful ones that I've seen. now the astros need to get rid of brad ausmus brad ausmus is widely considered one of the best signal callers and defensive catchers in the game. roger clemens said he would not pitch for houston in 2006 unless brad ausmus would be his personal catcher. I think he probably is pretty close to retiring, and the astros have had some great games from eric munson, who i suspect will be the regular catcher as soon as ausmus is done. the position players the astros need to get rid of are Adam Everett & Morgan Ensberg |

what i am saying is that the astros need to cut the older fan favorites and younger flops. The reason Roger and Andy arent there anymore is because of the managements apathy towards getting good hitting.
I'm not hating on the stros, i'm just pointing out why they are sitting in the cellar |

what i am saying is that the astros need to cut the older fan favorites and younger flops. and replace them with who? and they're in the cellar bc people like lance berkman who has been one of the mainstays of the team for years now is having a terrible year. the management has made terrible trades as of late as well, such as the taveras + hirsch + buckholtz for jennings. |

Craig Biggio is two shy of having the "Hit By Pitch" record. Is this something to be proud of? Looks like The Onion jumped on the Biggio saga. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE Roger Clemens declined to appeal his five-game suspension and started serving the penalty when the New York Yankees played Cleveland on Friday night. The suspension and a $1,500 fine were imposed Thursday by Major League Baseball vice president Bob Watson after Clemens hit Toronto's Alex Rios with a pitch this week. I think it's funny that a man who makes $28,000,022 in his contract this year gets fined $1,500. He has probably had a car wash more expensive than that. And stemming from the Paris Hilton inheritance topic, I guarantee you that $1,500 is not that much money for Clemens! -------------------- ![]() |
