Heard it on the radio this morning. Mark Cuban apparently applied for whatever it is you have to join to be allowed to purchase MLB teams. He's supposedly making a bid to buy the Cubs. I hate the Cubs, but man with his cash flow and the lack of a salary cap in baseball, they could go far. Bitch needs to buy the Astros instead heheh.

the cubs are lookin pretty decent right now. with cubans money and lack of care for the luxury tax, he'll actually make them a winner. Yeah, go ask the Yankees how having the highest paid salary in all of baseball is panning out for them this year. Money doesn't make the team. Besides, the Cubs are jinxed. That's the real reason it's the worst investment ever. -------------------- Spam? Isn't that something poor people eat?

well duh. of course he's not gonna go and spend $250 million, but the cubbies are known for selling off their talent. their current owner is a major tightwad. there has been a few years recently where the difference they needed to make the playoffs was one good piece of talent.
it will be an excellent investment for cuban. he'll bring in some talent, get people like carlos zambrano and derek lee to stick around, and they'll make some runs for sure. it'll pump up the fans and get some buzz going in chicago. |
