How much do they cost now? I took one a loooong time ago, and I know they've gone up since then.
Do they have free test prep materials anywhere for, say, the German CLEP test? Or does anyone have a book on that specific test that I may borrow? Vielen Dank. -------------------- |

yeah, go to the Language Lab in the Foreign Language Building and sign up to take the free one. If you dont do well on that one, study more then take the clep test which will cost $99 still I believe. As for prep materials, I believe they have a paper that you can get from West Hall where you go to sign up for the test, but that wont be enough. Go to Barnes and Noble and get a book or borrow sometime's text book who is taking 1501, 1502, or 1507. The library might have that text book that you can study with in the library.

QUOTE (James @ Mar 19 2006, 10:40 AM) Foreign Language department offers one for free. Damn, nice. When do they offer them (or is just anytime during their open hours)? ::EDIT:: Yeah, and as you pointed out Jessica, taking the free one FIRST will leave the CLEP test open if I bomb the placement test. Yay for second chances. Just need to do awesome...I don't want to take 2301 & 2302. This post has been edited by Psykopath: Mar 19 2006, 02:45 PM -------------------- |

Go to the Language Lab and they have certain dates set up for all throughout the semester. I think they offer it once a month. From what I hear, the test the foreign language dept offers is actually easier than the CLEP test. You have to sign up for a test date for both the clep and the free one. Make sure you have your student id on ya.

it was $70 when I took one last summer. $55 for the test and then a $15 test fee. Well worth it.
