And the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of
''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original
plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly
jammed dude.

Adult Swim offered to buy and air Invader Zim, but nickelodeon turned them down.

It would be nice for new Invader Zim but I just don't see it happening.

I honestly think the best course of action is to wait for Jhonen Vasquez's contract with Nickelodeon to go up and then have him go somewhere else.

THen again, he does have a successful comic biz.

That still would not get us new Zim.

When Vasquez's contract with Nickelodeon is up, I imagine another station (such as Adult Swim) could come in and offer to air new episodes of Zim. If the DVD sales have been good, then that's a very viable possibility.

You may think it sucks but I like American Dad. I like it as much as Family Guy because, while the humor isn't as good, you don't have to see the same joke going on for five minutes. Family Guy takes things way too far (Shapoopie or beating Brian, perhaps). Family Guy also has about 20 flashbacks, asides, and many other things which can get in the way because half of them just aren't that funny.

Like how Matt Groening gave us the amazing "Futurama"...

futurama lasted a good 5 or 6 seasons. there's no reason it should have been cancelled when it was, and there's clearly a big demand to bring it back.

i'm not saying american dad is not funny, but it's nothing near what family guy is.

and the simpsons hasn't been funny in years. they've beat the dead horse so many times that there's nothing there anymore; makes me look back and wonder if it was ever actually funny. groening needed futurama.

Futurama was four seasons and was cancelled because of money issues...
