Curious to know if we get programs for a Mac cheaper than the stores. I'd like to get Aperature, Final Cut Express HD, and Logic Express 7. With student prices and what not on the store I can get any of ONE of those for $150...but I want all three.

For those of you who use a Mac, are those programs worth it? I'd really like to use a decent program for making videos and music. I'd like something comparable with Photoshop for pictures too.

But yeah, I was curious to know if we have the hook up on some of those. Thanks.

You used to be able to get those products at really good prices at high tech. Not sure what discounts you can get now. You might want to double check with high tech on campus.

There is no high tech on campus, unless you have a virus. No software sales anymore. Bastards.

why?

Seriously.

I cannot fathom why anyone would actually WANT a macintosh unless it was to propagate underage gay porn.

That's the only damned thing that comptuer is good for ....

I don't know, I used to be against macs too, but after using it for three years, it's starting grow on me. There are very few features on pc's I would like to transplant onto a mac, but there are lots of mac options I wish my pc has (well I think the new vista has it now, but I am not planning on switching.)

Aperature is awesome. I don't know about FCExpress but FCPro is also very awesome.

Unfortunately employee discounts aren't much better than student discounts for software.

Ben's gone again. He got all pissy when we guessed who he was when he returned.
