En route to my buddy's wedding friday night my wife and I and some friends were sitting at a stand still in a construction zone...kinda start and stop traffic.

Anyone who's known me the past few yeas knows that my biggest pet peeve are these Dallas chicks who drive the fuckin school busses way too fast and are always gabbing on their cells...they scare and irritate the shit out of me.

Well, the law of probability caught up with me and sure enough we got nailed from behind by a woman...driving a suburban...on her cell phone.

The impact from her 40-45mph suburban shove my Xterra into the surburban in front of us.

I thank God for two things:
1. That everyone in my vehicle was wearing their seat belt and was safe.
2. That my baby boy was at his grandparent's house...I would have killed that bitch if he had gotten hurt.

This is my ANYTHING that will go on my record...no tickets, no prior wrecks.

On top of that, we were supposed to move this weekend, but given that my truck was totalled and I can't even open the car door with my left hand, I'm now having to pay for a moving company to do this shit.

Also, my wife who works at a frufru sushi restaurant in Oak Lawn cannot work. She made a decent chuck of change.

Just needed to vent. I sure as hell hope we get reimbursed for all this shit. I have USAA insurance and they seem really squared away about this.

Dude, you're married? I didn't think you were since you were all talking about wanting to bang Erin and stuff.

Got a pic of your wife. Is she hot? winky.gif

He's posted a pic of his wife on here. Don't remember how long ago it was. Check his old posts with pictures?

Shit dude....I'm sorry.

She should never be allowed to use a cell phone again.

At least you have USAA. They're usually on top of things. My only issue is that if you get a greenhorn settlement adjuster they will try to lowball you on pretty much everything.

I had to settle with Geico (the other guy's insurance) when I got in that accident that totaled my car. They gave me $4,000 more than what my car was worth at KBB value and then $1,000 in damages for the two airbag burns I had on my hands.

USAA was going to give me $2,000 less than my car's value.

Did the chemicals in the airbag burn you? If so, that's pretty scary... imagine if they touched your face.
What kind of chemicals do they put in there?

He most likely means the air bags extremely fast inflating rate caused a burn (like a extreme carpet burn).

But i could be mistaken

The paramedics told me that car makers put a strip of jet fuel in the steering wheel and when it ignites causes the air bag to explode like that. So they thought that maybe it was the heat or chemicals from there that burned the sides of my hands.

haha, that's crap and awesome. when i got into a wreck right before spring break, farmer's (the other insurance co) gave me $3k more than my car was worth.

i'm learning that usaa is pretty damn conservative, and from what i've heard, they're going to become even more so in the near future. if you're not satisfied with what somebody is telling you, just hang up, wait like 10 seconds, and call back; the odds are way against getting the same person on the phone.

Its usually Sodium Hydroxide that gives you burns. They told us in chemistry that they use compounds that are quick oxidizers and form gas really quickly, kinda like refried beans!

Damn. Chemistry was seven years ago! You paid attention really well. Or did you have another chemistry more recently?
