frickin A some of those people spend a lot of money on food. that black american family was at $350/week!?!? and that other european family was at like $500/week? damn...

they had burger king cups, pizza deliveries and whatever else showing on the table...its easy to get that much feeding a family eating out each day

as far as the euro family, shit aint cheap in germany, but that is also due to the dollar sucking right now against the euro, and it makes it seem like more to us

I eat some things organic but others I just go with the normal stuff. I almost always have a full salad with dinner (cheese, spinach, lettuce, cilantro, tomatoes, oil & balsamic vinegar).

Breakfast is usually light, with a single egg or bagel.

Lunch is either a big salad or dinner from the night before.

HEB and Randalls are my main choices for produce as I just can't bring myself to shop at Wal-Mart or Fiesta (though Fiesta has great produce!)

my daily eating is pretty terrible.

breakfast: this isn't bad, just a breakfast bar on the way to work and water, then a cup or two of coffee when I get to work.

lunch: I have eaten out for lunch nearly every day for a month, which yes I know is very bad.

dinner: eat out w/the parents prob 3-4 times a week, otherwise I'll have a pretty healthy meal, usually some kinda chicken, with beans/corn (yay fiber) and/or green beans or carrots.

drinks: mostly water, diet splenda drinks, sometimes a full sugar drink, usually unsweetened iced tea or water at restaurants.

so yeah... out of 14 lunch/dinners throughout the week, lately I've probably had 10 of them out. yes I know that's bad, yes I will fix it eventually wink.gif

James, do you eat organic or just run of the mill stuff at the store?

I have been trying to eat organic but it's expensive. There is a Whole Foods nearby and they have a good selection, but again, it's expensive.

I eat a few things organic, but mostly regular food. I agree, organics are more expensive. I mostly choose the organic stuff on occasion for taste, not for food safety or whatever. If you google you can find a list of produce (there was some study in Men's Health) that says which items are worth buying organic, and which are like throwing away your money. For instance, because of the thick skin on bananas it is pointless to buy them organic. You can tell a difference in taste though, I was shocked at how great organic tomatoes tasted compared to regular.

My diet consists of:

breakfast- a smoothie with 1 banana, some frozen blueberries, a spoonful of natural peanut butter, some natural honey, and water

Lunch- leftovers or whatever I can find in the fridge, today was 2 grilled chicken breasts

Dinner- some kind of meat (chicken breasts, steak, beef or turkey patties, fish), and some kind of veggie (asparagus, eggplant, acorn squash, tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers) or we might make some kind of vegetable casserole sometimes.

I also keep almonds in my desk at work to snack on, or snack on a banana at home.

Didn't bother to look closley, but that one european family sure does have an expensive food budget, but they're the only one I saw that had a case of beer and a half case of wine on the table.

You could put in for a transfer to their Texas offices. Don't they have one in the DFW area?
