![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.truthera.com/2007/05/29/abc-new...ion-northwoods/ QUOTE For all of you not familiar with what Operation Northwoods entails, please read the snippet below and the link to the 2001 news posting by ABC. There is a reason this ABC news story was basically buried when it was first released. You might say ‘Illuminati’, ‘Trilateral Commission’, ‘Bildebergs’, ‘Council on Foreign Relations’, etc. All the alternative news is buried these days, it is only shed light upon by the numerous alternative (dare I say “conspiracyâ€Â) websites on the internet. Hats off to them. This kind of information should be given to the people. It has been declassified for years. All on the road to the ever subjective topic of the NAU. The media is own by Globalists and is down to 10 mass corporations for owning the whole media pie (down from 30+ ten years ago). From the news article: In the early 1960s, America’s top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba. Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities. The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba’s then new leader, communist Fidel Castro. America’s top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: “We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba,†and, “casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation.†Details of the plans are described in Body of Secrets (Doubleday), a new book by investigative reporter James Bamford about the history of America’s largest spy agency, the National Security Agency. However, the plans were not connected to the agency, he notes. The plans had the written approval of all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and were presented to President Kennedy’s defense secretary, Robert McNamara, in March 1962. But they apparently were rejected by the civilian leadership and have gone undisclosed for nearly 40 years. “These were Joint Chiefs of Staff documents. The reason these were held secret for so long is the Joint Chiefs never wanted to give these up because they were so embarrassing,†Bamford told ABCNEWS.com. “The whole point of a democracy is to have leaders responding to the public will, and here this is the complete reverse, the military trying to trick the American people into a war that they want but that nobody else wants.†The documents show “the Joint Chiefs of Staff drew up and approved plans for what may be the most corrupt plan ever created by the U.S. government,†writes Bamford. (more continued on next page) I normally don't go with Lance's conspiracy theories, but I can't stop thinking that if they planned to do this for Castro, how can we be sure they didn't do this with Osama (in fact, the USS Cole pretty much exactly fits one of the "options" proposed on the third link) or Saddam? This whole media control thing is really starting to bug me. I've seen so many giant stories on the internet lately , with proof to back them up, that are never even spoken of on the media. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

I've known about Operation Northwoods for years, and it's just now making mainstream news
Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Richard Nixon were all drafters of the Northwoods documents so it's not too far-fetched to think they came up with something similar for Osama and Iraq. It worked at the Gulf on Tonkin to draw us into the Vietnam war. |

There's no evidence to suggest that it was orchestrated. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! let's say you're right, and all these might be true. one problem remains: what is there to gain by anyone involved? conspiracies only happen in order to benefit someone. Presidents aren't so much judged by their ability so much as the events that occur under their watch. President Bush looks good when he gets a bunch of photo ops in front of the WTC after 9/11. And Johnson looks good by starting military action against Vietnam after Gulf of Tonkin. QUOTE Except that these papers state that it was McNamara and the Kennedy administration that had their hand in this... I am backing up the conspiracy theory Lance but not the people you are pinning it on. McNamara yes, Kennedy no. Kennedy was the first president to send anyone in to Vietnam, but it was Johnson who escalated it into a full fledged war after the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Tonkin_Incidentp -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! Sorry, I misread you. Yes, you're right. It was Kennedy who was responsible for most of the operations against Cuba. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome!
