You could always do like James suggested and go the Cosmo Kramer route of buying a deli slicer, lol. yeah good article. what I'm thinking is most of the deli meats that you get behind the counter aren't any better for you than the pre-packaged stuff, or if so, not by much. better flavor and higher price is the only real difference. most of the stuff behind the deli counter is cut off of a "chunk 'o meat" kinda thing, which I'm sure is very simliar to how the pre-packaged stuff is too. i.e.  !=  lol and saw this while searching for images:
