yeah, i'd vote for a good female candidate over a good black candidate just because women represent a bigger percentage of the population.

By that logic, we'll have a hispanic president before we have a black president wink.gif

After watching the debates and reading up a bit more, I'm actually rather fond of Mike Gravel. Unfortunately, he and Ron Paul are too blunt to get far in the polls.

Hispanics will definitely be the majority of legal residents within the next 50 years. Will they register to vote and vote though? Who knows. Get the right candidate and I bet they would band together.

I don't like any of the democratic candidates and if hillary wins I might move to mexico, lol. I like Mitt Romney, but he makes John Kerry seem like a stubborn mule in comparison. I've seen some interviews with Fred Thompson and he seems like a genuine man who I would like to know more about, but I'm going to wait until he joins the dance.

This debate is really firing up right now with Romney attacking McCain's immigration bill, McCain firing back about his flip-flopping and then the heated battle between Giuliani and the douche that says we invited 9/11. Don't give Giuliani more fuel for his platform!

Yeah, I don't think he'll run, and if he does then he won't get the Republican spot. The GOP wants a fierce competitor that will rip Hillary (or Obama) to shreds. Someone like Giuliani, Romney, or McCain that can show passion. Thompson is a little too levelheaded and doesn't get fired up much.

Anyone see the Michael Moore/Fred Thompson feud?

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/r_m/2007...sen_at_war.html

The one thing that I don't get is if Thompson "doesn't have time for [Moore]" then why the fuck does he post a video blog about it?!

michael moore is a f'n movie director. what possible reason would anyone have to want to take the time to have a debate with him? what if steven spielberg wants a debate? or britney spears? or sheryl crow? these hollywood dipshits need to realize they have no political power and stop tryin to inject themselves into the political process. If they want political power they can run for office just like everyone else.

haha here's the response video from Thompson:
http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=611

moore seems to think he commited a felony in that video... not sure wtf he's talkin about.

i like fred thompson the actor, but as a politician he's crazier and more conservative than bush. i don't think will go over well, considering some of the more moderate republicans are asking bush to hurry the fuck up with iraq. i guess time will tell, though.

michael moore needs to get the fuck out of america already.

If he hates it so much he needs to either get into politics and change it or fucking GTFO.

Not to mention he makes the most biased, one-sided "documentaries" ever.

Wikipedia has a pretty good overview of Thompson
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Thompson

And I've learned a decent amount about his positions on recent issues from his blog on ABC radio here:

It has come to my attention that many people on this forum not only talk out of their ass when it comes to politics but lack the basic skills to research and confirm or deny their ass-talkery.

Not talking about you Impala, even though i'm posting right below you. You're actually on the up-and-up with research.
