ive always wondered why they even make the effort to put + and -'s on grades, when they have no effect at all on your gpa. it sucks.

To let you know that you barely got the grade or barely missed it. I never did it for B, C, D, and F, but if anyone had an exceptionally high A, I gave them A+. I've had profs give me B- to let me know that I barely got the B and that I prob need to look over the material some more.
