not arguing, asking...

how did giuliani recently put his foot in his mouth?

I hope you do not mean the pro-choice thing? because that's a deliberate thing and a nice change from the standard Rep/Dem schpeels.

guiliani thinks freedom means submitting to authority, sickening... this guy would fit in well with the taliban or stalin's government

i really thought cannonball would know better

that's just an excuse for not doing any research

this years crop (for both parties) is actually very diverse
don't forget though, Obama's got Oprah's vote, so that's like a gauranteed 30 million votes. Them opraholics are nuts.

I disagree. How exactly is that an excuse for not doing research? There are plenty of mindless Americans who vote every year that do not require any excuse what so ever. There are many candidates this election cycle but most of them do not stray from the centrist soundbytes that win elections.

And If by diverse candidates you mean a black dude, a woman, and a Hispanic governor of new Mexico then sure. Don't be so superficial my friend.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I haven't really paid much attention to the campaign because we're still over six months away from the first primaries and all of these candidates are one Howard Dean scream/yip or sexual scandal away from being completely irrelevant.

That being said, from my limited (by choice) exposure to this issue, I haven't heard Barak Obama say anything that I don't agree with... I probably identify closest with Ron Paul, but he doesn't have a prayer.

The only mainstream Republican candidate that I agree with on most issues is Rudy Guilani, but I find his experience a bit worrisome and he doesn't seem very Presidential to me. Let's be real, if New York hadn't been attacked on September 11th, Guilani wouldn't be anywhere close to a legitimate candidate in this race. I mean, really, do we want another Grover Cleveland or Calvin Coolidge? Historically speaking, mayors jumping to the White House have not found very much success.

At this point, the only guy out there who strikes me as Presidential is Obama... Thompson, too, but he isn't officially in yet.

I just don't want another eight years of having a laughing-stock as a President.

I'd vote for Dean or Gore in a heartbeat, if they entered. Looks completely improbable, at this point, though.

I still think Fred Thompson sounds like a great candidate. "Russians don't take a dump without a plan, son."

I'm not too savvy with politics, but I Obama seems like a nice man. We've never had a minority president, so I think that could be a good thing. I don't know if I think a woman could be president though.

I doubt we'd have a minority president before a white woman president. Baby steps and all.

Wow, so you like Obama because he "seems like a nice man." Awesome. If we get another crappy President, I'm blaming people like this.
